AMHE docs at General Hospital(HUEH) Led by the Team leaders Alix Dufresne, MD FACC and Frances Schmidt, MD FCCP, a group of AMHE physicians went to work at General Hospital for the week of 19 the April 2010. According to Dr Vladimir Berthaud who covered with some colleagues of the Mid-West the week of the 5th, there is much work to do at medical clinics of HUEH. The group Schmidt–Dufresne is accompanied by the well known clinician Dr Wesner Moise, Director of Geriatrics and Dr Jacques Guillaume, medical director both at IMC. They actually started the trip with a two days ricochet in Jacmel where they provided care to that population and brought much needed supplies and materials. In Port-au-Prince they are stationed a few miles from the Hospital since our regular AMHE headquarters at Quisqueya Crisis center were not available that particular week because of too many volunteers from other countries. We expect cardiology to be well covered during this week of 19th of April as well as pulmonary medicine and general medicine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
