ABOUT THE FACILITY & THE OPPORTUNITY:
This Federally-Qualified Family Health Center network has a respected executive team and a history of innovation; which give them the ability to attract and retain medical talent. The network is known for its progressive, continuity-of-service approach.
It is also aligned with a successful teaching hospital and has academic affiliations with several major universities. There are some clinical trials and other research activities in progress.
Essentially, the Attending Physician should be someone who enjoys the diversity and challenge of primary care medicine in an academically-oriented organization. Your clinical time would be dedicated to a large Caribbean Family Health Center. The position involves providing medical care to a range of adult patients (and would only include children if your are a Family Medicine practitioner).
The compensation range is on-target for today's market, and is augmented by a performance-based bonus plan; plus generous benefits & retirement packages. If you still have student loans, this organization qualifies for the National Health Service's Loan Forgiveness Program, which can add up to $30,000 in pre-tax saved income per year to your annual compensation. Lastly, there are multiple academic appointments available.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Board certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
Must be fluent in Haitian Creole.
Have a warm and friendly personality, able to remain calm and positive with patients and their families.
There is a strong preference for a doctor who is Haitian or Afro-Caribbean.
Enjoy occasional teaching of medical students and residents.
